1. The Service

PriceWatcher provides a price-tracking and alert service that monitors publicly accessible product pages on third-party websites. We do not sell products, process payments on your behalf, or guarantee the availability or accuracy of any price data retrieved from external sites.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use PriceWatcher. By registering, you represent that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have obtained parental or guardian consent.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use PriceWatcher only for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes. You must not:

• Use the service for any unlawful, fraudulent, or malicious purpose.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform, other users' accounts.
• Submit URLs or content that are illegal or offensive.
• Circumvent or disable any security, rate-limiting, or access control features of the service.
• Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the service or any data retrieved through it without prior written consent from PriceWatcher.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately, without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated this section.

4. Accounts & Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately at support@pricewatcher.co.za if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account. PriceWatcher will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your credentials.

5. Third-Party Websites & Data

PriceWatcher retrieves price information from third-party websites. We have no control over the content, availability, or accuracy of those sites. Price data displayed may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate. You should always verify prices directly with the retailer before making a purchase decision. PriceWatcher is not responsible for any decisions made based on price data retrieved by the service.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, and software comprising the PriceWatcher platform are owned by or licensed to PriceWatcher. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks, logos, or proprietary materials without our express written permission.

7. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, PriceWatcher and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the service.

9. Termination

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, for any violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised Terms on this page with an updated date. Your continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
